The US Department of State says they are closely watching the legal cases carried out against the high authority officials in Georgia. According to Voice of America, information about this has been released in a statement on December 27.

"We are closely watching the governments approach to the ex-officials criminal cases and repeatedly call on the representatives of the government to scrupulously hold a fair process and ensure the rule of law, reads the US department state.

Also, the official US calls on both sides sides to continue with constructive negotiations to reach the joint aim of strengthening democratic and economic development and Euro-integration.
