The US government has no questions about selective justice in Georgia, according to the Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maia Panjikidze.
"This document is important for Georgian side, because there is emphasized the collaboration between the USA and its partner countries, including Georgia. It means that since 2014 the relationships between Georgia and the USA will be deepened. said Maia Panjikidze.
According to the Deputy Foreign Minister, the additional provisions, made by the Congressman Michael Turner, weren't including the profit elements for Georgia. Nevertheless, the text was changed after the Georgian side delivered the US government the proper information about all reforms that was carried out in Georgia last year.
"As for the selective justice, legal violations and reforms, carried out wrongly in Georgia, the Georgian side delivered full information about reforms and democratic processes and the US has no questions anymore. said Maia Panjikidze.
The annual measure authorizes appropriations and lays out policies for the Defense Department and other national security programs. The defense bill provides $552 billion in baseline funding and an additional $80 billion for the Afghanistan war and other overseas military operations.
