The Defense Ministry of Georgia finished working on its national military strategy. Minister Irakli Alasania said this at his press conference to sum up the year.
The strategy covers the challenges and dangers that Georgia currently has, and also the ways of coping with them. The document will soon be sent to the Cabinet Minister for a decision about its implementation.
"The armed forces made very important decisions in the direction of planning an efficient growth of our defense opportunities. But I also want to say that we all agree that a document means nothing unless it brings concrete benefits to a soldier who is on a battleground. All these systemic decisions aim to provide soldiers with the necessary arms and trainings for them to be able to accomplish their main goal to protect the country, Irakli Alasania said.
He also noted that the strategy is very clear and realistic.
