In November 2013, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 124.4 million USD (208.8 million GEL), a 12.6% (13.9 million USD (25.2 million GEL) increase from the amount in November 2012.
According to National Bank of Georgia, 93.3 % of the total money transfers from abroad came from 10 big donor countries (Russia, Greece, Italy, USA, Ukraine, Turkey, Spain, Kazakhstan, Israel, Germany), with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in November 2013.
In November of last year, the majority of these 12 countries constituted 94.8 % of the total volume of money transfers.
In November 2013, 14.7 million USD (or 24.7 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 10.0 million USD (or 16.6 million GEL) in November 2012.
