Tbilisi hosted a Japanese Anime mini-festival

A Japanese Anime mini-festival was held in Tbilisi at the Amirani cinema with the support of the Japanese Embassy in Georgia and Japanese Fund.

The festival opened on December 13 with a speech by the Japanese Ambassador Toshio Kaitani and an animated film The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. An additional two animes, 5 Centimeters Per Second and Hols: Prince of the Sun were presented on December 15.

All animated films were shown in Japanese with Georgian and English subtitles. 5 Centimeters Per Second was as well translated into Georgian audio and will also be screened in the Gori Youth Culture Center. Attendance for every event was free.
