The Interior Ministrys Informational-Analytical Department briefed the representatives of the international organizations and diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia on the recent situation in the villages located near the occupation line.
The Ministry gave the information about recently developed events and summed up the general situation caused by the installation of barbed wires fences, trenches, and banners indicating the "border by the Russian occupational forces.
"They started erecting posts and then barb-wiring in Ghogheti [Georgian village near the administrative line]. This process is still going on. The Russian side itself informed us about this, David Sujashvili, Head of the Informational-Analytical Department, said after the presentation.
These meetings are held periodically at the Ministry, aimed at providing representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations with detailed information on the recent events in occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.
