The chair country of the European Union, Lithuania hosts the Eastern Partnership countries to bring them closer to the EU in November 28-29.
In the framework of the elaborate declaration, Georgia and Moldova are waiting to the initial of Associated Agreement at the Vilnius Summit.
The Georgian delegation is led by President Giorgi Margvelashvili. The Deputy Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani will sign the 1000-page agreement with his European counterpart. The Georgian delegation is completed with several High Officials: Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze, the State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili, and Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
President Dalia Grybauskait? will welcome high-ranking leaders of the European Union, such as Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, President Herman Van Rompuy of the European Council, High Representative Catherine Ashton of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European Commissioner Stefan Fule for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy, and Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament.
The heads of state or government of the 28 EU member states as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine are gathered for the Vilnius Summit. During this two-day event, they will review progress in implementing the Eastern Partnership program and outline guidelines for the future, according to the web-page of Lithuanian presidency of the council of the European Union.
