The Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara negotiates with Lithuania and Latvia on the export of citruses. In addition, tomorrow a ship is expected in the port of Batumi, who will export the citrus to Turkey for the first time.
Adjarian Minister of Agriculture also talked about shipping and custom tariffs today. According to Tariel Putkaradze, it is already ascertained that the export of 1 ton of citrus to Novo Russia will cost 345$ and 300$ will be the cost to Ukraine.
A total of 10,000 tons of citrus harvest is expected in Adjara this year, out of which 7500 tons have already been exported. Mostly citruses are shipped to Ukraine, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
