Georgian Culture Days continue in Vilnius

Capital of Lithuania continues to host the cultural program "Georgian Art in Vilnius.
The project is organized by Georgian Embassy and includes a variety of cultural events: A classical music concert, Photo-exhibition of Shalva Alkhaniadze "On the road to Tusheti, Contemporary painting and Georgian treasure exhibitions, a concert of Georgian State Academic Ensemble "Rustavi and screening of modern Georgian films.
The Lithuanian Art Museum already opened an exposition of Georgian treasure exhibits, taken from the State Historical Museum of Kutaisi.
The gallery "Kalnas hosted the exhibition of Georgian contemporary art. The event was attended by Mayor of Vilnius Arturas Zuokas and other honorable guests.
Georgian culture days will be held until the end of the year in Vilnius, parallel to the EU Summit. According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these events are another proof of close cultural and political ties between Georgia and Lithuania.
Hungary will be the next country to host a celebration of Georgian culture as part of new efforts to develop closer cultural and educational relations.
A two-day festival of Lithuanian art and culture is on at Mziuri Park, one of Tbilisi's favourite recreational areas, with music, cinema and sports of the country introduced to locals as part of Georgia's Independence Day celebrations this week.
