Lasha Abashidze is officially appointed as Head of the Presidential Administration of Georgia. President Giorgi Margvelashvili signed the document today.
Abashidze replaced Andro Barnovi at this post. Giorgi Margvelashvili initiated his candidacy several days after he won the presidential elections.
Abashidze, who holds MA in public administration from Tbilisi-based Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in which Margvelashvili was a rector, served as chief of operations at the state-owned Georgian Railway in 2007-2010. He was also the executive director of Great Britain`s International Financial Institute.
