The newly elected President Giorgi Margvelashvili will meet with the French President Francois Hollande. The information was announced by Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maia Panjikidze at a press-conference today.
According to her, the meeting will be held at the Vilnius Summit, after Margvelashvili will meet with the President of Luthania which is the head of the host country.
"The meeting is confirmed by the president of France, Mr. Hollande. Not all EU countries have decided yet, who will be their representatives for the Summit. We will anticipate receiving the fully confirmed list by the end of the week and this information will be shared to public. announced Maia Panjikidze.
The Minister also spoke about the Associations Agreement and said that it will be initialed by the Georgian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani.
According to her, it is a thousand-page document that should be initialed separately on each page.
"The procedure takes three hours and will be conducted by David Zalkaliani, as he is the chief negotiator for the Association Agreement.
Panjikidze also announced that the head of the delegation in Vilnius will be the President-elect Giorgi Margvelashvili, accompanied by two ministers State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Buka Petriashvili and herself. The remaining members of the delegation are still unknown.
She also mentioned that the part on the Free Trade Agreement will be signed by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Papuna Janelidze.
