Bloomberg has published an article showcasing visitor destinations, lifestyle, cuisine and wine of Georgia as presented by two hosts of Sorted Food, a British YouTube channel and food community.
The piece notes the contrast between the geographical size and the diversity of destinations to visit in the country.
Smaller than Austria or Ireland, Georgia isn’t a large country, which is good news if you have limited time to explore. However, there is so much to see, from historic towns, picturesque mountain villages, seaside resorts and ski slopes to Georgia’s wine-producing region”, the article says.
Ben Ebbrell and Jamie Spafford, the two hosts featured in the travel article, explored historic sites, sulphur baths and local markets in the country’s capital Tbilisi during a recent visit.
Their trip also included meetings with popular Georgian chefs, tasting of local food, learning how to make the khinkali meat dumplings and being introduced to local customs of toast and the traditional supra feast.
The two also were hosted in the eastern locations of Telavi and Tsinandali in the winemaking region of Kakheti, where they were introduced to the history of 8,000 years of continuous culture of winemaking and modern viniculture on the territory of Georgia.
