One of Georgia's most diverse museums was featured in a special story of an online magazine dedicated to art venues and galleries around the world.
The Tbilisi-based Museum of Theatre, Music, Cinema and Choreography – also known as Art Palace – became a focus for the website of the Museeum magazine, which tells stories of various international museums.
Earlier this year the Tbilisi venue received international recognition after it was awarded the Special Mention of Europa Nostra, a top European cultural heritage organisation.
Now, in further international focus on Art Palace, the Museeum magazine's contributing editor Maria Fedorova wrote a story about the place in which she also shared an interview with the museum's director Giorgi Kalandia.
[It] was quite challenging for us to decide on an art institution that would represent the Georgian cultural legacy. That being said, the Museum of Theatre, Music, Cinema and Choreography is just the first Georgian museum you will be reading about on MuSEEum as we want you to explore this fascinating country," said Fedorova in the piece.
The story focused on Art Palace's diverse selection of exhibits "from cultural and historic artefacts to sculpture" as well as its richest archive of photographic exhibits in Georgia.
In addition, further details about the venue were shared with readers of Museeum by director Giorgi Kalandia, who talked about Art Palace collections and diverse type of exhibits.
"Every visitor is inspired after seeing the brilliant collection of the museum. We believe that the tasteful combination of different art patterns give the museum its charm which fascinates everyone," said Kalandia in his interview with the magazine.
