The Bloomberg Business: “The World's Next Big Wine Regions”

Georgia – one of the oldest producers of wine and land of ‘qvevri’ – has been named as one of eight countries in the world that can offer you an unforgettable bottle of wine.

Journalist Elin McCoy published a story on the website of the world’s famous business media outlet, Bloomberg, emphasized eight regions around the globe which she believed will become the next big wine producers in the world market.

When describing Georgia, McCoy wrote: The method and the country’s 8,000-year-old winemaking history have given its reds and whites countercultural appeal. Among the 15 most important varietals, one red (saperavi) and two whites (rkatsiteli, mstvane) have the most global potential.
