The Telegraph: “Russia warns Ukraine could see Georgia repeat if interests threatened”

If Russia’s interests will appear under threat it will react the same way as set on in Ukraine.

Interview with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov published on the Telegraph’s website highlighted Russia’s position about ongoing political developments in Ukraine and relations with southern neigbour Georgia.

If our interests, our legitimate interests, the interests of Russians have been attacked directly, like they were in South Ossetia for example, I do not see any other way but to respond in full accordance with international law.
