Sky News: “Russia Accused as Ossetia 'Fenced Off'”

For the past 12 months Russian border guards have constructed a vast ‘security fence’ around Georgia’s breakaway region South Ossetia.

Sky News Moscow Correspondent Katie Stallard highlighted the fact as the crisis in Ukraine continues and Russia moves to exert pressure elsewhere in its former sphere of influence.

The fence divides villages and in some cases houses, separating families from their livelihoods and neighbours. Georgia says the move is a creeping annexation of its territory and a violation of its sovereignty, Stallard said.
