Georgian judoka Eteri Liparteliani claimed the bronze medal on Friday at the 2024 Grand Slam in the Azerbaijani capital Baku.

In the fight for third place, Liparteliani defeated her Serbian rival Marica Perisic in the -57 kg category of the tournament.

In the semi-finals of the Grand Slam, in which 404 athletes from 62 countries are competing, the Georgian lost to the Canadian Christa Deguchi.
