Georgian judoka Eteri Liparteliani wins European Championships Open

Georgian judoka Eteri Liparteliani on Friday won a gold medal at the European Championships Open in Kosovo’s capital city of Pristina.

In the final, Liparteliani defeated her rival from Israel Timna Nelson Levy by ippon in the 57 kg category of the tournament.

The 24-year-old Georgian athlete has claimed the title of European champion two times, while also being a one-time junior World and two-time junior European champion.
