Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday attended an opening of a Public Service Hall branch in the town of Terjola, in the country’s western region of Imereti, the Government Administration said.
The residents of Terjola will receive over 500 state services in this extraordinary, highest-standard building. The Service Hall is equipped with modern technology, with relevant services to be provided in a modern environment, and more importantly, the new building is adapted for those people with disabilities”, Kobakhidze emphasised in his speech at the opening event.
The PM noted six branches of Service Hall operated in penitentiary institutions, adding the country’s Ministry of Justice also offered relevant services to high mountainous and remote settlements through the Mobile Public Service Hall project.
Kobakhidze further unveiled the Government's plan to ensure the entire country with the services of the Ministry of Justice.
By the end of the upcoming year, it is planned to open ten additional Service Hall branches, [...], including several Service Hall venues to be opened in Imereti [region], and this process will continue until the entire country is covered and provided with appropriate [public] services”, the PM pointed out.
Since 2012, 111 new service branches have opened in Georgia, Kobakhidze noted and added that the Terjola venue was the 26th in the region and the 123rd throughout the country, while until 2012 only 12 Service Hall branches had been operational in the country.
At the opening event, the head of the Government expressed his gratitude to Rati Bregadze, the country’s Justice Minister, for his efforts in “increased pace of infrastructure constructions”.
