Georgian judokas claimed two gold medals and one bronze on Saturday at the Judo Grand Slam Tel Aviv 2023 hosted in Israel’s Mediterranean coastal city of Tel Aviv.
Olympic athletes Vazha Margvelashvili and Beka Gviniashvili became champions of the tournament in the -66 kg and -90 kg categories, with Margvelashvili defeating his Azerbaijani rival Orkhan Safarov and Gviniashvili claimed his win against Hungarian Krisztian Toth.
Georgian team member Lasha Nadiradze in the -66 kg category won a bronze medal, defeating Israeli Tal Flicker. The national team took first place among the teams in the competition.
