Georgian table tennis player wins bronze at Saudi Para Open

Georgian para table tennis player Vladimer Janelidze on Thursday won a bronze medal at the Saudi International Para Table Tennis Championship in Riyadh, marking a first in the history of the sport in Georgia.

Janelidze finished third out of 16 competitors taking part in the ninth qualification round of the competition, which is set to end today.

Janelidze’s short-term plans include representing Georgia at the European Para Championship.
