Napoli’s Georgian midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was named Player of the Year in the end-of-year awards of the Georgian Football Federation on Monday, with Eter Sulashvili awarded the Female Player of the Year prize.
Head coaches of all 10 national league teams, 11 players, head coaches and captains of futsal and women’s leagues, as well as players of the Georgian national team and sports journalists voted in the survey for revealing winners in nominations.
Anzor Mekvabishvili, the 20-year-old midfielder playing for Dinamo Tbilisi and the national team, was named Young Player of the Year in the awards ceremony.

In Women’s Championship, Lela Chichinadze from Dinamo Sokhumi won the title of the Best Player, with Martve Kutaisi’s Avtandil Revishvili awarded as the Best Coach of the league.

Among referees involved in domestic competitions, Aleksandre Aptsiauri earned the top spot in the end-of-year awards.
Prizes for promoting the sport went to Dimitri Areshidze, a fan from the western Terjola region who is involved in GFF-supported regional projects, and Zviad Tsartsidze, the coach of the Sachkhere women’s team in the west.
