Georgian police officers have arrested 16 individuals for illegal purchase, possession and smuggling of drugs in capital Tbilisi and other regions of the country, with 14 of the arrested charged with drug-dealing, the Georgian Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.
Police also seized a large amount of money and drugs, including 626 pills of Subutex, 220 pills of Methadone, over 565 grams of Ketamine, as well as 150 grams of Cocaine, 418 pills of MDMA and other drugs.
The offences are punishable up to 20 years in prison, or life imprisonment.
