Tbilisi's Dissolution gallery will showcase artists Mako Lomadze and Nino Eliashvili in a display opening at the venue this week, bringing their works on the contemporary world to a two-week show.
Curated by Gvantsa Tskhovrebashvili and entitled Human Nature, the exhibition will bring to the space of the gallery the two creatives who have exhibited in Georgia and abroad, and are recognised for their conventions in respective media.
One part comprising the display will come from Lomadze, a Tbilisi-based artist working in oil painting and other traditional media with an eye on "internal dialogue, critical issues in the subconscious", the gallery has said in its preview.
[Lomadze's] work is in line with her complex approach to issues. The pieces are dreamy, illustrated with profound feelings while remaining non-descriptive and ambiguous. She is able to visually convey a tragic sense of existence

Lomadze graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in painting, and has produced works currently featured at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cosenza as well as in private collections.
The paintings will be joined by drawings by Eliashvili, another graduate of the Tbilisi academy who holds an undergraduate degree in fashion design and has been featured in displays both in Georgia and Germany.
The painter and graphic designer has named capturing spiritual states, colours, sexual identities, suppressed emotions and beauty as the source of her practices, noting the role of the softness of watercolour in allowing her to "instantaneously project emotions".
Dissolution will host the show of the two artists between Friday and September 16, with the gallery located at 1 Kekelidze Street in the Georgian capital.
