The Embassy of Georgia in Bulgaria on Wednesday unveiled a photograph of the Jvari Monastery, a historic landmark and cultural heritage monument in Georgia, at a bus stop in city centre of Bulgaria’s capital Sofia.
Taken by the Georgian photographer Giorgi Shermazanashvili, the photo is of the 6th century monastery, perched atop a hill at the confluence of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers outside the historical capital of Mtskheta near Tbilisi.

Seen as one of the major historical landmarks of the country and a highlight for visitors of Mtskheta, the photograph was selected for showcasing for the Sofia public spot.
The presentation in the capital was attended by Bulgarian city officials, the Embassy said on Twitter.
