The Georgian national football team remain top of their UEFA Nations League group after the team’s fixture against Bulgaria in Tbilisi on Sunday ended in a goalless draw.
Played at Dinamo Arena in the capital, the Group C4 game saw the two teams add a point to their tally, with the Georgian squad now leading the group on 10 points, three ahead of North Macedonia.

In comments to the press following the fixture, Willy Sagnol, the head coach of the Georgian team, said fatigue had played a factor in the draw.

Probably no-one could have imagined we would gain 10 points after four matches in June […] It’s clear we are disappointed with today’s result, but [that] it is good. because it means we have the ambition to achieve more”, Sagnol said.
The Georgian team will host North Macedonia on September 23 and face Gibraltar on September 26 in their next games in the group.
