Police in western Georgia’s Samegrelo region arrested three individuals, including two charged with drug dealing, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said on Tuesday.
Identified only through their initials, the apprehended persons include G.CH., charged with illegal purchase and possession of large quantities of drugs.
The group also involves individuals identified as A.K. and A.G., and charged with illegal purchase, possession and sale of narcotic substances.
Police officers seized “especially large quantities” of various types of drugs during the personal search of offenders, the ministry said.
The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison, or life imprisonment.
