Ainars Latkovskis, the Chair of the Georgia Friendship Group of the Latvian Parliament, on Tuesday said the country supported Georgia's accession to NATO and the European Union, making the comment after meeting Georgian MPs in capital Riga.
Latkovskis announced on Twitter a group of deputies led by him had met representatives of the Georgian Parliament and Beka Odisharia, the Chair of the Georgia-Latvia Friendship Group, with the purpose of discussing development of cooperation between the Parliamentary groups.

The two sides discussed Georgia's progress on its path to NATO and EU integration, with the Latvian officials emphasising support of their country to the country’s membership in both blocs, the Georgian Parliament’s press office said.
The meeting also involved Georgian MPs Eliso Bolkvadze and Irakli Zarkua.
