Georgia reports 159 new cases of coronavirus, 328 recoveries, 2 deaths

Georgia has reported 159 new cases of coronavirus, 328 recoveries and 2 deaths in the past 24 hours.
13,730 tests have been conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 9,275 of the 13,730 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 4,455 were PCR tests.
The country has had 275,148 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
268,565 of the 275,148 patients have recovered, while 3,650 have died of the virus.
Currently 2,907 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.

The new 159 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 89 cases
- Adjara - 10 cases
- Imereti - 23 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 3 cases
- Shida Kartli - 12 cases
- Guria - 10 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 6 cases
- Kakheti - 3 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 1 case
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 1 case
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 1 case

1,358 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 269 of the 1,358 patients are in critical condition. 75 of the 269 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
5,322 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 3,006,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
Georgian health officials and doctors have received their first doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine earlier today live on TV. The country received 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine on March 13 with the help of UNICEF. Deputy head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control Paata Imnadze was the first who got the jab. After the vaccination he said that ‘I feel great’ and called on people, especially doctors to vaccinate.
European Union Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell has congratulated Georgia on the arrival of the 43,200 doses of Covid-19 vaccine earlier today. The first 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine arrived in Georgia this morning.
Georgia has reported 344 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting a total of 32,090 tests over the last 24 hours. Out of the 344 new cases 188 were reported in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
The 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine has arrived in Georgia this morning. UNICEF, which has supported the Government of Georgia in procuring the Covid-19 vaccines, has announced that the plane has already landed at Tbilisi International Airport.
Georgia has reported 537 new cases of coronavirus, 128 recoveries and eight deaths in the past 24 hours.
