Police have arrested 11 drug dealers, including a foreign citizen, in the last 10 days in Tbilisi, the Director of the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mamuka Chelidze, said today.
The suspects are accused of the illegal purchase and possession of drugs.
The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison, or life imprisonment.
Police discovered the accused individuals selling drugs on a regular basis.
During a search of residences, police seized six packages of heroin and items for drug packing – an electronic scale and a spoon.
During the search of the foreign citizen, identified only as I.Z., police officers seized cash – 1,000 GEL and three packages of drugs.
