Autumn harvest markets will be set up in seven locations of Tbilisi during the Tbilisoba City Fest on October 24-25, announced Tbilisi City Hall earlier today.
The markets will open at the following seven locations:
Events scheduled to be held online in celebration of Tbilisoba were cancelled following the tragic collapse of a residential building in the Georgian Black Sea town of Batumi on October 8 causing the death of nine.
The money designated for the annual festival will be directed to assist those affected by the collapse of the multi-block residential building.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that Tbilisi City Hall will not break tradition and will award Honorary Citizens.
Tbilisoba is an annual festival which celebrates the diversity and history of Tbilisi.
The festival was first marked in 1979 and soon became one of the country’s most colourful and spectacular celebrations.
