Autumn harvest markets will be set up in seven locations of Tbilisi during the Tbilisoba City Fest on October 24-25, announced Tbilisi City Hall earlier today.
The markets will open at the following seven locations:
- Chugureti district– near Marjanishvili metro station
- Samgori district– V. Kuprava street No. 10
- Gldani district– M. Nozadze street
- Didube district – near Didube Plaza (Tsereteli street No. 116)
- Digomi district – B. Paichadze street No 1
- Saburtalo district- near Sports Palace
- Vake district – near Gegeshidze Park
Events scheduled to be held online in celebration of Tbilisoba were cancelled following the tragic collapse of a residential building in the Georgian Black Sea town of Batumi on October 8 causing the death of nine.
The money designated for the annual festival will be directed to assist those affected by the collapse of the multi-block residential building.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that Tbilisi City Hall will not break tradition and will award Honorary Citizens.
