Georgian national ballet Sukhishvilebi stops tour in Ukraine, plans self isolation after arriving in Georgia

The Sukhishvilebi Georgian National Ballet has stopped touring in Ukraine as the country announced quarantine to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. 

As of now, fortunately no member of the ballet has the virus, but we will use self isolation after arriving to Georgia to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus," reads the statement of the ballet. 

Also, concerts dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the ballet will be postponed. 

The Georgian national ballet has been on tour since February 1.  

On this tour Sukhishvilebi held 37 concerts in total 'with great success' in the cities of Poland, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine. 

The quarantine to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in Ukraine was announced yesterday.
