Georgian rugby player Giorgi Kveseladze has joined English club Gloucester and will spend the next two years representing them in Premiership Rugby and European competitions.
Kveseladze, 23, will become the first Georgian plating on the position of a back to join the English top-flight competition, and has reacted to the development by revealing he was "very proud" to join the club referred to as Cherry & Whites.
Gloucester Rugby announced the transfer on Wednesday, posting a Twitter update that read the team was "delighted" to welcome the midfielder.

Kveseladze revealed he had received offers following the Autumn Nations Cup competition before linking up with the English side, and added he expected to join his new teammates before Christmas.
I am very proud I am going to play for such a traditional club. I know its past very well and I am happy to have this opportunity to join Gloucester Rugby. At the same time, I feel the big responsibility. It is time for new challenges in my life,“ the young player was quoted saying following the confirmation of the move.
Kveseladze also said he had been told by coaches at the Premiership club they needed "a kind of player I was at Autumn Nations Cup!", adding the competition had been a "valuable experience" for the Georgian national team.
Georgian Rugby also noted the player's individual contribution in the tournament, praising his play as "highly reliable" and his "magnificent try" against Ireland.
