Georgian female football team Lanckhuti has made history by qualifying for the UEFA Women’s Champions League, defeating Romanian Olimpia Cluj earlier today.

The Georgian team will be competing against the strongest European teams in the championship, the sports ministry has announced.
The history has been made! Lanchkhuti is the first Georgian football team which will be competing at the champions league”, the Georgian Football Federation wrote on Facebook.
The Georgian team handed a defeat to Romania 1 to 0 at the Cluj Arena in the Romanian town of Cluj-Napoca.
