The Georgian Chief Prosecutor’s Office has charged member of the United National Movement opposition party Levan Khabeishvili with violence against deputy head of Tbilisi City Assembly from the ruling Georgian Dream party Irakli Zarkua, shortly after the Prosecutor’s Office charged three members of the ruling party with group violence against Khabeishvili himself on January 24.
The Prosecutor’s Office demands bail as a pretrial measure against Khabeishvili.
Commenting on the charge, Khabeishvili verbally insulted Zarkua and said that top officials of the ruling party planned an attack against him on January 24.
He said ‘I knew the slave Zarkua would have invented something’ against him.
