16 Georgian companies on display at Berlin International Green Week exhibition

Georgia is participating at the annual International Green Week Berlin (Gruene Woche) 2020 exhibition, presenting 16 Georgian companies of wine, chacha, dried fruits, honey, tea, lemonade and juice.

International Green Week Berlin is one of the most important international exhibitions in the food, agriculture and gardening industries and has been held since 1926. 

About 1,500 national and international exhibitors present their unique regional products and services in a total of 26 exhibition halls annually.

 Georgian honey that meets EU standards was introduced for the first time in 2019.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Georgian Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Khatia Tsilosani.

Khatia Tsilosani has held meetings with the Agriculture Ministers of Lithuania, Estonia and Belarus regarding the certification and irrigation of phytosanitary, veterinary, seed and planting materials.

At the exhibition visitors can expect international specialists from all fields of agriculture, forestry, food industry representatives.

Tsilosani mentioned that cooperation between Georgia, Lithuania, Estonia and Belarus will continue in the future.

Georgia has been participating in the event for 11 years. From the beginning, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia shared one stand to present three countries. The countries began to present themselves separately starting in 2012.
