Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has summed up his visit to Japan, saying it was very successful.
Bakhtadze said that it is important to receive more foreign direct investments from Japan in high technology.
We have all opportunities to increase our exports to Japan 10 times over the next five years”, he said.
He said that the recently signed agreement on the insurance of exports and investments with Japanese company NEXI “will help us to attract more investments from Japan”.
Bakhtadze noted that Georgian wine is becoming more and more popular in Japan and used the example of the recent exhibition ‘Georgia – Homeland of Wine’ that was opened in Japan on March 10 and will continue until May 7.
He stated that Japan is one of the most promising markets for Georgian wine.
