A new ecotourism attraction, a hanging rope park, will be set up in Georgia’s Algeti National Park, located in Georgia’s Tetritskharo municipality.

A total of 250,000 GEL (about $92,936/€82,403) will be spent on the project.

With rope bridges to cross, aerial tightropes and swinging log steps to navigate and moving platforms to cross amongst many other thrills, the hanging rope park in Algeti National Park will be a place for adventure seekers ready to try their hand at life in the treetops.

Algeti National Park comprises the southern slopes of the eastern area of Trialeti mountain range in the Algeti river gorge and is located at an altitude of 1,100-1,950 m above sea level. Photo: Algeti National Park.

The new adventure park is planned to be opened this summer.

A similar project is being implemented in Georgia’s Lagodekhi Protected Area, where new tree top walks will be arranged.

The purpose of both projects is to attract more visitors to the national parks of Georgia.
