Georgian Sunday school opens in Cyprus

A new Georgian Sunday school has opened in the city of Limassol, Cyprus, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
About 30 children are enrolled in Sunday school.
The children will study Georgian language and literature, the history of Georgia, painting and music lessons and sport.
Another Georgian Sunday school is located in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Georgian Ambassador the Cyprus Revaz Lominadze took part in the Sunday school opening ceremony and wished the children a successful academic year.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has voiced several programmes which aim to boost the engagement of Georgian emigrants in the country’s everyday life and help them retain close ties with their native country.
A Georgian-language section opened in Queens Library of New York City on 22 January.
This will be a historic visit as the president of Cyprus will come to Georgia for the first time. President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades will visit Georgia on April 16-18.
