Tobacco prices in February have increased in Georgia by 13% in comparison to January, show the latest inflation data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Prices for alcoholic beverages increased by 6.7% in February in comparison to January.
On the other hand, prices for clothing and footwear decreased by 4.6% and 4.8% respectively.
The monthly inflation rate in February was mainly influenced by price changes in these categories.
Overall, last month the consumer price index increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, while the annual inflation rate amounted to 2.3%.
