The number of Georgians returning back to homeland from Russia has increased 10 times over the past 10 years, Georgia’s State Commission on Migration Issues reports.

The State Commission on Migration Issues has published a report Migration Profile of Georgia (2019), which reads that 6,345 Georgian citizens arrived in Russia and 4,314 returned in Georgia in 2018, while 7,325 Georgian citizens arrived in Russia and only 416 returned in homeland in 2011.

The number of immigrants from Georgia to Russia [as of 2018] is 450,000 per the report.
