In the first nine months of 2019 7,802 construction permits covering 5.6 million square meters were granted in Georgia, announces the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
The number of construction permits increased by 1.3 per cent compared to last year.
71 per cent of total permits are distributed amongst three regions of Georgia:
- Tbilisi - 49.2 per cent
- Adjara – 11 per cent
- Kvemo Kartli - 10.8 per cent
In January-September 2019, construction permits were granted for the construction of multifunctional residential complexes, hotels, shopping malls, industrial enterprises and agricultural buildings.
More than half of the completed buildings are distributed amongst three regions of Georgia:
- Tbilisi - 36.2 per cent
- Kakheti - 14.4 per cent
- Kvemo Kartli – 9 per cent
