NATO announced yesterday that “at the invitation of the Georgian authorities” the North Atlantic Council (NAC), its a principal political decision-making body, will be visiting Georgia on October 3 and 4.
It further informed that NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller will chair a meeting of the NATO–Georgia Commission with the Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia in the Black seaside town of Batumi.
Gottemoeller will also deliver a speech to students at the Batumi State University, NATO reported.

Alog with the NATO Permanent Representatives, Gottemoeller will hold meetings with President Salome Zourabichvili, Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri, Defence MInister Irakli Garibashvili, Parliament Speakern Archil Talakvadze and other members of parliament.
The NATO Ambassadors will furthermore have a working lunch with Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, meet with civil society representatives and visit two Georgian coast guard vessels as well.
