NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller says that Georgia is a model and the country should maintain its pace to become a member of the alliance.
Gottemoeller mentioned Georgia in her speech during the 64th NATO PA Annual session in Canada which was held between November 16 and 19.
Georgia is a model and it should maintain its pace for NATO integration, which in its turn will facilitate the formation of consensus within the alliance.
NATO holds the door open and the 2008 Bucharest Summit decision is valid – Georgia will become the NATO member”.
She thanked Georgia for its contribution to international peace in Afghanistan noting that the country is a key actor for security and stability in the Black Sea region.
