Leading Chinese carmaker Guangzhou Automobile Group will open a representative office in Georgia before the end of 2019, announces the Government of Georgia.
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze met with the chairman of Chinese company Zeng Qinghong today at the World Economic Forum, taking place from 22-25 January in Davos, Switzerland.
After opening an office, the company will further study Georgia’s environment to make decisions on investing and building sites in the country.
At the meeting Bakhtadze described Georgia’s favourable investment environment and the government's initiative to offer considerable tax cuts to companies with regional offices in Georgia.
Bakhtadze and Qinghong praised the positive dynamics of Georgia-China relations.
Guangzhou Automobile Group manufactures passenger cars and commercial vehicles, motorcycles and auto parts. It is also engaged in the areas of finance and insurance.
