The Tbilisi Transport Company staff has written 317,980 fines for irregular parking in Tbilisi and violation of certain rules between 10 April 2018 and 27 November of the same year.
This is the period when Tbilisi Transport Company replaced Tbilisi City Park to regulate parking issues in the capital city.
Most of the fines, 224,244 of them to be exact, were issued for parking a car without having a special permit from the transport company (a driver must buy a special pass from the Tbilisi Transport Company to park a car in an area which is marked for parking by the company. If a driver parks a car without having the pass he/she is fined 10 GEL).
82,376 fines were issued for parking in the wrong place, where there is a special traffic sign prohibiting parking.
