In September Georgia will sign an agreement on membership in EURAXESS, which is a unique pan-European initiative delivering information and support services to professional researchers, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated earlier today.
This will be a huge step forward for the Georgian science to reach the level each Georgia citizen will be proud of,” Bakhtadze said.
He said that EURAXESS is a key platform for every European state which supports the development of science.
The platform unites not only the EU member states, but also the countries with top scientific and technological achievements like Japan, Israel and others,” Bakhtadze said.
He stated that the membership will help Georgia transform itself into a regional education centre.
The platform will allow our scientists get involved in the most important projects of the century. I wish all Georgian scientists, especially the youth to use the opportunity and the Georgian government is in active communication with them for this,” Bakhtadze said.
Backed by the European Union, the member states and associated countries, EURAXESS supports researcher mobility and career development, while encouraging scientific collaboration between Europe and the world.
