Georgian Independence Day celebrated in Afghanistan

The Independence Day of Georgia is being celebrated at Bagram Base in Afghanistan, where Georgian soldiers together with the defence forces of the United States, Czech Republic, Poland and Afghanistan participated in the symbolic march.

The military parade ended at the memorial of Georgian soldiers killed in peacekeeping missions, which the Georgian colonel and vice colonel decorated with a wreath. Photo: Ministry of Defence of Georgia.

Commander of the Bagram aviation base, General Daniel Conley congratulated Georgian soldiers on Independence Day and noted that the contribution of Georgian military forces to the mission is invaluable.
