Diplomas issued by Georgian higher education institutions will be recognised and valid in Europe, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has stated today at an event dedicated to Georgia’s membership in the European Association for Quality Education and Higher Education (ENQA).
Bakhtade stated that the association made the decision about Georgia’s membership a couple of days ago, which is a “historic moment.”
We have taken another, firm step, towards Euro-Atlantic integration. We have come closer to our European family in terms of education, which, I believe, is the most important field,” Bakhtadze said.
PM Mamuka Bakhtadze called the day historic.
He said that Georgian higher education facilities will have to work hard on upgrading their quality to meet the standards of European universities.
The government will play its role in this regard. As we have already stated six per cent of our GDP will be spent for educational purposes and higher education will be one of the priorities,” Bakhtadze said.
