The Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has congratulated Ilham Aliyev on the winning of the Azerbaijani presidential elections and stated that he "firmly believes” under Aliyev’s leadership Georgia and Azerbaijan will continue "mutual, beneficial relations.”

The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijani has today announced the results of the April 11 presidential election in Azerbaijan.
According to the final figures, the incumbent head of state, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev garnered 86.03 percent of votes in the race.
